Duplicate Elements in Title Clip Editing (HOW?)

When I edit a title clip (see image), I expect to be able to duplicate an element (e.g. a text box) within the title clip. (NOTE: this is NOT “duplicating the title clip”) However, selecting it, and then ctrl+c ctrl+v doesn’t work, and right clicking on the element brings up no context menu. I doubt I’m the first one to ask this, but is there just no way to do this? Do I just have to make a new text box and match the styles myself?? (or I suppose I can add to pattern and delete later, but that still seems like quite a hassle for such a simple ask)

P.S. Is there also no undo/redo mechanism within the title clip editor?

Yep, there is no such thing as Copy & Paste or Undo and Redo functionality in the title editor.

It was put together as an add-on fairly early in the genesis of Kdenlive, and hasn’t received enough TLC over the years.

There were a few small QoL and functionality improvements lately, but there are not that many devs you contribute to the title editor.

I see. Strange, is it not? Because what other ways do I have to add a text? As I understand it, only dynamic text, and that’s so restrictive in the release versions.

And just as luck would have it, the developer who contributed to the title editor lately has just started working on a Copy&Paste function …

The Glaxnimate integration is another one, and you should be able to see your screen from there.

Personally, I prefer using a graphics text editor like Inkscape to edit more complex text because it has better tooling for alignment, effects, etc.
