After installing a new Neon machine, I realised that the mouse mode (M-x xterm-mouse-mode) did not work.
The solution is rather simple:
- Open View on the menu
- Allow Mouse Tracking
If, for some reason, you can’t find the menu, you can also reach it from the hamburger menu that’s usually in the default toolbox in the upper-right corner. Select More and there you can find the View menu and the Allow mouse tracking option.
Once done, you can use the M-x xterm-mouse-mode as usual (even better, add the option to your Emacs config file.
