Facebook OAuth is broken

It has been since I registered.

That seems to be a common problem with Facebook connect on many sites.

Yeah, although usually it’s quickly fixed after I report it, so it doesn’t seem like it should be difficult.

I don’t know whee to report it on most sites.

I usually do it like this, unless their Discourse instance has a source control repository (with an integrated issue tracker, of course).

@ngraham, I expect that you’d know – who administrates discuss.kde.org? This has been broken for some time.

That would be @sitter.

It would appear that the folks at Facebook - without any notice or any other notification - changed what is required for an OAuth application to make use of “Facebook Login”.

I’ve now gone through the additional hoops they wanted us to go through so hopefully that is working again.

Unfortunately, not for me:

Unfortunately it seems that Facebook require too much in the way of hoops to be jumped through for using “Facebook Login” so using it as an option has been discontinued.
