[Feature Request] Game AI for Tic-Tac-Toe in GCompris

Hi KDE developers,
GCompris is one of the Flagship Applications of KDE. Yet, I believe it still has room for improvement. I would like like to put light on one such situation today. The Tic-Tac-Toe and Mancala activity in the application uses a random pick to choose the moves for the activity. Having a Game AI for the games would really make it more engaging.

The Mankala Engine project under KDE can be used to incorporate to provide game AI for the mancala game. The Tic-Tac-Toe still needs its own game AI, to be built.

I would also like to mention that, I am interested in creating that game AI for Tic-Tac-Toe by experimenting with various approaches over the course of the summer preferably through GSoC.

Can you guys share your opinion on this?
Also where is the matrix chat or some other equivalent community for GCompris?

Regards,
Srisharan V S

Hi! Sounds like an interesting idea, and all the more feasible if you have a lead on how to build it!

In addition to the Matrix channel #gcompris:kde.org , the following site might be helpful in looking to get started contributing to GCompris: Developer's corner · Wiki · Education / GCompris · GitLab
