I noticed that If I copy a file larger than 4GB into an NTFS partition in Linux, then all data precisely after 4GB will be zeroes. I use dolphin, and if this is some kernel level limitation, I need to know who to tell to get this fixed.
A 32bit limit somewhere?
What OS are you using?
What kernel version?
Which of the 3(?) ntfs drivers are you using?
Does the bug duplicate if you use cp to do the copy?

Yes
I presume that “Yes” was for this question? If so the issue isn’t a Dolphin issue.
What type of drive is it? (SSD, NVMe, HDD, USB stick, etc)
And what other layers are involved (LUKS, etc)
Dolphin/kio shouldn’t have an issue/difference.
Use cp to compare or other tools, to confirm where the issue might originate from.
The limitation should be be the mount options or file system settings. It is unlikely to be in the Dolphin/Kio, but who knows.
As cp fails as well it is an issue you should take up with Solas developers.
