Anybody? Has this been completely abandoned already? I found the issues, appears nobody responding to them or working on them either. Very disappointing.

You’re looking at the wrong repository, it’s System / XWayland Video Bridge · GitLab. And we don’t use GitLab issues to track user bugs and support, it happens on Bugzilla

The link you supplied looks like to the same repository. My link just goes to the gitlab issues page.

But good to know about not using gitlab issues. I wonder if it’s possible to have those disabled or a note to point people to Bugzilla, in general. Might produce less frustration/confusion across the board if one goes to the gitlab and expects to be able to create tickets/get support. But now I know.

When you create an issue on GitLab, it will print a giant red warning to dissuade regular people from using it. But we can’t close them either because they are regularly used by devs to communicate.

Hi, I tried the commit “Fix cmakelint issues” from a week ago before on Fedora 40 (Gnome): and it worked great.

But I reinstalled my system with Ubuntu 24.04 and tried the latest version, and it does not show a sharable window in Discord. Might be related to the commit “Force ContentsWindow to be treated as a dialog”, or it just misses something that is required.

Either way, I wanted to download the old version to make sure that it is not something on my end, but the artifact expired.

Does anyone have the previous artifact/build, so I can try that version or can someone perhaps confirm that this commit broke Discord window sharing?

If nobody has the old version then I’ll try looking into building it myself, but I thought I’d give messaging here a try first.

Build the version before the commit mentioned and tried that, works perfectly again. I created a bug report: 489777 – Unable to see xwaylandbridge since specific commit on repo
