Font Viewer and its Help Center

I’m still confused about the “Font Viewer” in KDE (even tho I’m familiar with font viewers/managers in other systems).

My first obvious instinct was to check the official docs here. But the screenshot in the help does not look like Font Viewer in KDE and refers to it as “KFontview”. Searching for “KFontview” in my KDE shell yielded no results. My actual program looks like in this screenshot.

Is KFontView the same as Font Viewer?
What am I trying to do: I need to check on the glyphs present in the font, but I can’t find half the functions described in the Help Center’s description - the toolbar has neither “Change Text” nor Preview dropdown nor Zoom In/Out (my window looks exactly like in the screenshot above).

Edit: while I was writing this post I stumbled upon Help>Find Action in the Font Viewer that seems to provide access to these functions. However, that seems to be the only way to get to them. No toolbar, no menu option to discover, nothing.
Very counterintuitive imo. Is there a way to bring these to the toolbar instead of using “find” with a full list of every command present in the program?

I would recommend using “Font Management” in the system settings or the app KCharSelect, depending on what you want to do. In KCharSelect, you can choose the font in which the glyphs are displayed.
