I have a project that I’ve edited and rendered in previous versions and 24.12 with no problems. It uses the Arial Black font, which is on my computer, for the captions. I just opened it in 25.04 and Kdenlive popped up a dialog box saying that it was replacing all of the Arial Black captions with Tahoma. Not a massive problem I thought, as I could just change them all back to Arial Black. When I tried to do that, Arial Black isn’t even listed as a separate font in the font list, as it always has been before. I eventually found out that if I select Arial as a replacement font, then “Black” is a sub option. That would mean doing them all individually and there are a quite a lot.
Then I thought I’d change the font in the initial missing font dialog box, which would at least cut down on the number of changes. I then found that although that dialog box allows you to multi-select all of the captions using the Shift key, when you change the font, it only actually changes the bottom most font. All the others don’t change.
Is this expected behaviour or a bug? I have several videos like this, and it will mean changing all the captions individually, which I can do, but if it’s a bug and might be fixed, I’ll only change the ones I need for my current requirements.
