Force Splash Screen to Play Entire Animation

I found a cool splash screen and picked out a sound to play alongside it on login, but the splash screen only flickers for a moment. Is there a way to edit the splash.qml to force the splash screen to play the entire video before fading out?

Before anyone replies with “hur hur, you want your PC to be slower?” Yes. Yes I do. This is for a living room gaming machine and I want the aesthetic. Not everything has to be about efficiency: as a human, I crave beauty. If you do not, I pity you.

Hi - I don’t know if this would work, but maybe you could create a systemd unit that just sleeps for enough time to cover the video, and that is required by something important in the sign-in process? Maybe have it “Wanted” by plasma-core.target, since that’s what plasma-ksplash-ready.service is “After”?
