Global Menu items padding pushes other widgets, ruining "centred" look of middle widgets

I wanted to originally post this as a bug on the bugzilla but I wasn’t really sure about if it was a bug or me not following some sort of necessary setup for the global menu to not do that, so I wanted to post it here first.

(this one is an APNG, refresh page if it’s not replaying, my bad!)

(more obvious example?)

I don’t use Global Menu myself so it’s a tad more awkward on my setup (bottom/video) but a friend of mine in the Fedora community asked me about this and I was able to reproduce it on a top bar setup on 1920x1080 at 100% scaling (though note, I have a second display at 2560x1600 at 175%, friend running into this only has one display at 1080p/100%), I’m surprised to see how easy this was to reproduce considering how often global menu is used in macOS like setups, do people doing these setups use static spacers to have any widgets in the middle?
