I discovered that in the Window Decorations > Shadow, you can select white as your shadow color and get a subtle glow to a window instead of a shadow. This solves a huge annoyance about dark themes where all windows are so similar and the borders are subtle enough that it is hard to accurately click the correct window. A subtle glow solves this problem.
The only downside is that it depends of server side decorations and the glow does not show up with client side decorations, meaning a lot of apps will not have the shadow unless they specifically offer the selection. I think it would be cool if glow was a default feature on dark themes just like shadow is on light themes. Long term, it would be nice to make this work better/easier with more apps. For example, Brave browser has a setting that allows server side decorations but PWA’s installed don’t retain that setting.
