I think moving the settings into the view toolbar is much better, especially since all those categories are accessible in the settings sidebar. Thoughts?

Just my opinion, but settings never should be under “View” in any application.
That just seems like improper UI design.
After posting this, I took a look at other KDE apps and having a “Settings” menu bar item is common. In some cases, it is under edit → preferences.
I retract my suggestion, feel free to ignore it
