I’ve been searching and haven’t been able to find any useful answers. All I see is a Dolby Vision-Atmos on the bottom. Has anyone been able to get sound and how? Thanks.
yoga pro 7 audio on plasma usually needs the sof firmware path b4 anything dolby shows up.
-aplay -l
-dmesg | grep -iE ‘sof|snd_hda|audio’
-sudo apt install --reinstall sof-firmware linux-firmware
-systemctl --user restart pipewire pipewire-pulse wireplumber
if aplay shows no card still, check BIOS → disable intel smart sound / set audio to sof. then reboot.
This is what I get. I’m still playing around.
master@Yoga:~$ aplay -l

aplay only showing the nvidia hdmi outs means the onboard sof path never showed up. that dmesg line needs sudo too:
sudo dmesg | grep -iE ‘sof|snd_hda|audio|acpi’
also:
lsmod | grep -iE ‘snd_hda|sof’
cat /proc/asound/cards
if cards still only lists NVidia, peek BIOS for the onboard audio device (sometimes labeled smart sound) and check /etc/modprobe.d/ for any blacklist sof* / snd_hda_intel lines.
