Help with making custom window decorations

New forum user, first time post and beginner KDE Plasma user.

Could anyone help me with trying to make custom window decorations on KDE Plasma 6/6.5 starting from the original KDE ones that i can then customize further into what i like?
I have a few questions what software should i use for those and how to apply them.

If you would like me to be more specific you ask me for more information.

I just installed plasma-sdk from Kubuntu PPA.

$ apt list -a plasma-sdk
plasma-sdk/questing 4:6.5.2-0ubuntu1~ubuntu25.10~ppa1 amd64
plasma-sdk/questing 4:6.4.5-0ubuntu1 amd64

That contains theme explorer. You can see and change themes on your computer. And there are settings for window decorations.

If you’re talking about aurorae themes and not something like, say, Klassy: https://develop.kde.org/docs/plasma/aurorae/

As for software….not much. An svg editor ( for example, Inkscape) is pretty much all you need. Again, that’s for aurorae themes.

Isn’t aurorae themes broken from what i have read and would they be any easier by chance?
Also i am talking about the top bar like, correct me if i am misreading what you are saying and sorry if i seem to be ignoring your response.

Broken? Again? Anyway, yeah that , from your picture, tiny tiny thing on top of your windows. Ignoring my response??:neutral_face: Dude, chill.

Quick question, do you need to make that folder your self or is it already preinstalled/need to install something?

That ~/.local/share/aurorae/themes one? If it ain’t there, create it.
