I maintain my partner’s PC and would like if there is anything I can do to hide the Do Not Disturb toggle without loosing the desktop notifications? I also would like to know if I can use KDEConnect to send his notification to my desktop?
you can leave notifications on and just hide the dnd toggle. right click the system tray, configure system tray, entries, then set do not disturb (or the notifications entry that shows it) to always hidden. notifications keep working, the switch just isnt sitting there.
kde connect can mirror his notifications to your desktop if both are paired on the same network. install it on both machines, pair, enable the notifications plugin. thats a lan thing unless you expose it somehow.
The only thing in Systray configuration is Notifications itself. Setting it in popup only is the only real option without getting rid of notifications all together. It would make him have to do one more step to get to the toggle. That’s at least something.
