History of changes in System Settings

Like in topic. Somewhere there in System Settings list of changes with all branches how to get to change. Maybe even “windowshot” of change?

And one thing more. I changed “Two Click to One Click to Open” and I was not happy and in Search “mouse” is not “connected” to Mouse. This is strange to me.

Hey Radek

I manually take screenshots and produce text files of all changes I make. A little time consuming but very helpful to remember what I have done.

Have fun

There is an option in System Settings to highlight places with changed settings, so in most cases, at worst, I can just hit the ‘default’ button to revert. Not perfect, but it does make locating settings areas I have been messing with a bit easier.

Hi claydoh

I remember that feature and it was very helpful. Then I wanted more detail and decided to do it the hard way.

Hey. Thanks for answers, but I just give idea to developers. Some kind of log from System Settings. After choosing “Apply” line is generating with:

date, time: was >>> now is

Just idea.

Do you mean you can not find the location to revert to the previous setting? This is easy to find:

  • Open System-Settings
  • For me it opens with the item at the top of the list: Quick settings
  • When you look on the right you see the item already.

Quick settings is just a small collections of items many people will change in the first run.
The correct place where the item is stored is in:
General Behavior in the section Workspace
