I recently installed KDE Neon on my VENTURER WT9L10 two in one laptop (I think that’s how you call them?).
It’s mostly fine, other than the fact that there isn’t any touchscreen capabilities (and the screen being turned the wrong way if I connect the screen to the keyboard but that’s something else).
I assume it’s due to some driver from VENTURER WT9L10 that Linux isn’t getting, and the problem with that is I don’t know how I would be able to find the driver myself and install it.
How would I find and install these drivers so I can use the touchscreen?
I can find nothing online about Venturer other than it seems to have gone bankrupt? Seems they were sold at Walmart and Amazon. I cannot find out who makes the touchscreen. If you can find out who makes the screen, you might be able to find a work around. Windows drivers will not work and it is highly unlikely to support Linux.
Scroll down to the “Usage” section. Obviously this is nontrivial and I would suggest replacing the firmware as a last resort. But, it might lead you to some other paths that may provide you a solution.
Does the TS work properly in other distros? Which Kernel are you using? 6.17?
The touchscreen seems to no longer work even on windows 10/11 (I had to reinstall them after Linux to see if they worked or not, it was working before I installed Linux).
I switched from KDE Neon to Fedora (Latest version), to see if that would work, from what I’ve researched, it seems to be 6.19?
