Hello,
On CachyOS, with KDE 6.7, on Wayland, I have two 2560x1440 (wQHD) screens connected to a 9070XT (in a tower. It’s not a laptop).
I use the MESA drivers.
I don’t use the new feature that allows different virtual screens for each real screens.
An AOC screen is on the displayPort 1 (DP1) port of the graphic card.
A Samsung screen is on the DP2 port.
I use the AOC as my main screen : the “primary” screen in KDE control panel (that’s why I connected it to the DP1 port).
The AOC uses the cable that was in it’s box and is positioned at the right.
The Samsung is at the left and connected by a no-name so-called “8K ready” cable purchased on Amazon
Problem :
When the AOS is the only screen, it is detected as “external”.
And when both screens are connected, the AOS is also the “external” screen.
But, the problem arise when I’m using only the AOC, and I press Méta+P.
If I use the option Expand Internal screen to the right, then it changes the primary screen to the Samsung => Internal == primary for this option.
Same when I choose expand to the left, the primary screen is changed from the AOC to the Samsung.
Strangely, it occurs only after a boot !
When I correct the situation by checking “Primary” for the AOC on the KDE control settings, then, the AOC remain primary after I press Meta-P and choose either options.
Is there someone who can reproduce the behavior ?
Or am I doing something wrong ?
Thank you.
