How To Bypass An Inability To Log In Via Plasma Login's GUI

I’m unable to access my desktop, because its PLM installation failed to authenticate with a correct password, and isn’t allowing me to enter another (after failing to render the wallpaper, so something more fundamental is incorrect):

How can I bypass this, so that I don’t need to exit my current session? loginctl unlock-session doesn’t remediate it.

#!/usr/bin/env sh
systemctl restart plasmalogin
