When creating an investment account I initially ticked the box to create an associated brokerage account. All dividends for these shares are paid into my bank account and it would be convenient to make this account the brokerage account to avoid having to select the desired account when adading reinvested dividends. There’s no option to change the brokerage account wheaan editing an investment account, is there any other way I can do this with version 5.2.2?
Unfortunately, no. The brokerage account is identified by the name of the investment and the suffix " (brokerage)" AFAIR.
Note that while the default brokerage be changed, you do not need to use this account for investment transactions in that Investment account. I have one brokerage where I have two Investment accounts but use the brokerage account of one of them for transactions in both of them. Once I had enough of a history of this, then I found new transactions used the account I wanted (at least most of the time.)
