Hello, I am new to Linux. I Like the KDE Linux philosophy. I was wondering if it is possible to install the Brave Browser Origin version? If so How could it be done? thank you. Steven
Looks like it’s not packaged on Flathub yet, which would be the ideal way for this to work.
However, on a cursory glance, it would appear they have an “Install with one command” thingy over at Brave Origin on Linux | Brave. I have no idea if it will work, and this method of installation is never recommended, for security reasons. Even providing an AppImage would be better than this!
But it looks like it exists. Use it at your own risk.

Yeah I tried "install with one command but it didn’t work. I also tried to install it using the Fedora Atomic Desktop commands but they did not work either. Well maybe I will install Brave browser thru the Discover app and then downgrade to Brave Origin ( I bought a yearly license for Brave Origin) I like it more then the regular Brave
You do realise you don’t need a license on Linux - it’s free!
That apparently is the easiest method at this time and can be undone later by changing a flag.
It seems KDE Linux should better automatically let users, if they wish or if they need to because flatpak, appimage etc. method is not available, continue installing and using software as usual, while keeping the default system intact.
I guess this is technically possible but only for users with some advanced skills in managing a Linux system.
I’ll try to achieve this as soon as I can install KDE Linux on a separate partition without affecting my current dual-boot system - not with Windows, just Debian stable and Debian Testing.

I bought the Brave license because i am still on Windows10 and I am slowly switching to Linux and eventually completely get off Windows.
I just installed Brave browser thru the Discover app and then switched over to Brave Origin in the settings of Brave. So far so good!
