How to open terminal apps in something other than Konsole

I have the default terminal app in KDE settings set to Alacritty however when I open a terminal only app, micro in this case, (“Run in terminal” is checked in the KDE menu editor) it opens in Konsole not Alacritty.

How can I get KDE to use Alacritty to run these apps instead?

you probably want to manage settings > file associations so that your typical terminal files are properly associated with the application you prefer .
