I just switched from windows to linux and installed cachy os with kde plasma. I removed every store app and installed pamac. When i right click any app on the start menu it shows me that uninstall or manage addons button. I don’t want it because the button doesn’t even work %99 of the time.
It’s possible that pamac doesn’t properly support that and you don’t have any other software manager left. The button is displayed as long as you have any application that can open `appstream://` links.
I do not think you can remove the button, so next best thing is likely not clicking on it.
thats not good enough, we need a proper solution. perhaps try cheching the .config files?
Demanding a “proper solution” for choosing which items go in a context menu is inappropriately nit picky. If you genuinely require that level of granularity, you’re free to code it yourself or download a compositor and build the desktop yourself. ![]()
Might as well tell OP to reinstall their system and avoid pamac while on KDE. Sounds more useful.
I ended up removing pamac and that button disappeared. I guess I will use the terminal to manage software.
yeah, folks keep saying me cli is better anyways for installing apps
