So for context, on my personal machine I run a Terraria Server off of my local network (connected using NetworkManager). It’s scuffed but I do not have much other options. A problem I frequently encounter is that when I put the desktop to sleep when I am not using it, it disconnects from the internet and the server cannot receive data. Is there any way to prevent Plasma from doing this?
I’m no expert, but I would say you cannot put the machine to sleep and expect it to continue to be connected to the Internet. Those two things are incompatible, aren’t they?
i’m a bit confused by your question.
but if you are asking how to wake the machine from LAN activity, then i would look into your BIOS firmware for the option to Wake on LAN.
this is not a KDE thing.
Do you have a special reason to choose for sleep mode, or is just switching off the monitor enough? When you chose that the system stays active, including the network.
I’m trying to switch off the monitor.
