Right now when I want to normalize my audio, I can mass apply the normalization (2 pass) effect, but then I have to manually click “Analyse to Apply Effect” on each one.
I wish there was an ability to automatically apply the normalization (and required analysis) in bulk.
And realistically you also have to listen to it and possibly tweak the level to normalise to - because despite the name on the box, the correct level required to make all audio sound at a similar and comfortable level isn’t necessarily the same for all clips.

That really sounds like a preprocessing job to be doing on your content rather than an editing step. For some formats at least, it’s possible to apply EBU R128 / ReplayGain information to their metadata without transcoding, but that would need some investigation in this context.
Not saying it makes sense or is advisable from an audio processing and managing perspective, but audio effects can be applied to an audio track and thus affect all audio clips in that track at the same time and uniformly.
