Importer can't navigate or see ofx files

I’m using KmyMoney on Linux Mint 19.3 and Kmyoney flatpack 5.3.1. I recently found the flatpack version and changed to it. Last month importing worked fine. This month I needed to clean up “unused” flatpack & cache and had to re-install the flatpack package to get it to launch. Now I can’t navigate to the ofx files in my home directory AND I can’t see them if I move them to the “default” directory the dialog opens in. Any ideas on what is going on?

That is a limitation of Flatpaks due to their “sandboxing”.
To get around it and be able to access files you don’t see by default, install the Flatpak “Flatseal”. That will let you adjust what directories individual Flatpaks have access to.

Since you probably only need to access your ofx files once, why not just use Mint’s file explorer, Nemo, to move the ofx files to a location the Flatpak can access?

Thanks and makes sense. How can I tell what file system the flatpak can “see”. I’ve moved the ofx files around to no avail.

Found this article on flatpak from askubuntu (how-to-give-a-flatpak-app-access-to-a-directory), followed the command lines recommended and voila I can import. Thanks for your help.
