Increase capacity of KDE-Linux download server

It is taking a very long time frequently to download the new image. Increased capacity would be welcome.

If I understand it correctly, the slow speed might not be from downloading the image, but at least in part in calculating the delta so that you download only the parts needed.

@byron4120:

Did you check which KDE Mirror you’re using?

You are right:

I do not see a convenient method of setting preferred mirrors – Discover has good stuff for flatpak but I’m not seeing a top 5 - or prefer mirrors from Global or from US type of thing - /etc/pacman.d has a mirror list - but all appear to be commented out . As a newbie I guess I’m unsure of preferred method to set the desired mirror set. Perhaps a toggle in system settings might help as the KDE environs gets installed on quite varying platforms. The system setting would be system specific - and a bitt more obvious for KDE-Linux.

In general it automatically uses the closest mirror. But the problem here is that delta updates don’t use the mirrors yet!

That’s one of the reasons why they’re slow, and the speeds differ so much for different people — it depends on their geography!

We’ll work this out eventually. It’s an active topic, with work going in just yesterday.

Looking forward to the Update! — Thank you for your response!
