Hi i just downloaded new Opera .deb file and choose right click “open with discover”. So far so good. In the right top corner it shows “remove” instead of “install”
if i click “remove” it is installing the new version and not removing the program.
It seems a bit strange. Is this a bug or is discover not recognizing the new version?
Why wouldn’t you just double click the thing?

Well having no idea what kind of package manager you’re using, or even why you think you should download and click a .deb file, it’s hard to say.
Opera isn’t FOSS, and it was bought out by a very bad Chinese consortium (so that all it’s staff quit and left)… so no support for that here I think.
sudo dpkg -i package_file.deb?
If that doesn’t work, then try a trusted browser instead.
This issue was fixed in Plasma 6. IIRC 6.1 or 6.2.
