Is it only me, or is the Itinerary UI occasionally a little weird?

Itinerary is a great application, I love that this is an option rather than sluggish online websites that are often difficult to access via mobile data. But is it only me, or is the Itinerary UI occasionally a little weird? Here are a few things that surprised me while testing it out:

  1. The list of potential journeys has a “Click here to expand” entry (location “1”), but then there seems to be no obvious way whatosever to shrink an expanded entry again (location “2”):

There also seem to be some strange results at the top most of the time, showing 0 minutes and they just look kind of weird and different.

Also, when I expand any entry, sometimes the view will jump around in a way that shows me something unrelated rather than the expanded entry, making it feel like I exploded the entire list until I realize that what I wanted to expand and look at is still reachable via scrolling and didn’t fully disappear.

  2. When searching for a stop, the list shows “No locations found” too eagerly, and will for example show this text when a.) the search is about to start but hasn’t started yet which leads to a brief moment of confusion for me, and b.) when the search begun but the network request failed due to a wifi hiccup.

When there was a network error, there seems to be no indication that there was a network issue, making it seem like the stop just doesn’t exist on the server side:

  3. When opening the filter view and then pressing the “Plan Trip” button, everything resets without warning. In my opinion, this is unexpected and may potentially trip over users.

I realize the user is meant to press the button in the top left corner, and I think it’s good that button exists, but if the “Plan Trip” additionally led back but without resetting everything, I think that would be ideal:

  4. On the PinePhone, the “Journeys” results list lags quite a bit when you scroll up and down, compared to other applications that show anything where I need to scroll. I don’t know why that is, but I thought I’d let you know.

Sorry if everyone else doesn’t share these UI nitpicks and it’s just me. Hopefully this input is helpful! It’s a great alternative to the official websites since it loads a lot faster, so it’s a great application and I simply wanted to help out with some ideas.
