I registered an account there to be able to do what you suggested, but stalled here… this intimidating banner seems, afaict, to be plainly telling me NOT to use this site for this purpose [of bug reporting]

The bug is now marked as Fixed; https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=523727, and two Commits are linked in it. I never understand the minutiae of these processes, so this question might be silly, but anyway:
How now do i obtain this "fix? Should i expect to automatically receive it simply by doing routine updatectl update commands? Should i do something else?
We’ve got builds everyday so yes. Updates are even shown on Discover for that matter.
Thx. Fwiw, i’ve just rebooted after updating from 202608011645 to 202608050825, but unfortunately the field remains blank in the widget.
It should have been fixed in the next build, which should have been this night (EU-wise), but it has unfortunately failed, so you’ll have to wait a little bit longer.
