I love the way that Plasma maps SDR content to display correctly with HDR enabled because this solves the issue of constantly having to toggle HDR on & off in most situations. However, what about about when your monitor’s built in tone mapping/following of the PQ EOTF is a bit off?
My monitor crushes blacks when in HDR mode (for both SDR & HDR content) and so I end up with no shadow detail. This is, of course, a problem with my monitor’s internal mapping and not with Plasma but it’d be really nice if I could adjust the mapping in Plasma to compensate & lift the shadows a touch - is this possible?
