Is it possible to donate to KDE from Turkey?

Hello Community,

I recently decided to donate to support the KDE project. However, when I tried to donate via PayPal, the most convenient payment method for me, I discovered I couldn’t do so from my country, Turkey. As far as I understand, direct donations from Turkey are currently not possible.

This situation truly saddens me. While PayPal is still a platform used by many users, it poses a barrier to donations to KDE for users in my country.

Therefore, I believe that alternative payment methods should be made available to those of us who want to support the KDE project. Alternative donation channels could be established, or negotiations could be conducted to allow Turkish users to donate through PayPal.

As someone who is passionate about KDE, I believe a solution will be found for this issue. Thank you in advance for your interest and understanding.

The same applies to my country, New Zealand, whether paypal or credit card.

However, I have been able to do a github sponsorship, and support the project that way.
