Hi everyone, I’ve been struggling for about a week and a half with something that seemed simple at first. I have a recent laptop (a ThinkPad X1, for those who are interested) with a built-in eSIM card, and I’m trying to get it working properly under KDE Plasma 6. It worked fine on Windows, but here on Arch with Plasma, I don’t even know where to start. NetworkManager seems to detect the WWAN modem, ModemManager is running in the background, but in Plasma’s network settings, there’s practically nothing displayed to manage the eSIM profile. I’ve looked for KDE applets or tools that would let me manage this graphically, but I haven’t found much that’s clear. Has anyone ever managed to get an eSIM card working on a full KDE setup? A widget, a specific package, anything… I’ll take it.
I had a look through my bookmarks and found this interface project for managing eSIMs.
Which mentions this tool :
GitHub - estkme-group/lpac: C-based eUICC LPA · GitHub
Which appears to be the solution for managing an eSIM on Linux, according to this blog post :
I hope this helps you a little.
Good luck.
