Wondering if anyone else has has this issue and if so do they know of a fix.
I’ve got an LG OLD C3 TV hooked up to my Desktop which is running an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060. When I set the resolution output to say 1920 X 1080 (16:9) the edges of the screen appear to be off of the TV as if the outputed screen is slightly to large for the OLED, even though the aspect ration of the tv itself is 16:9.
Are you using X11 or Wayland? What driver are you using?
Check the TV settings. Some have an overscan feature for movies and tv shows. My Sharp TV has a dedicated “computer” function that is different than the TV.
Failing that, you might need to use SDDM to force the DPI to the correct value as the TV may not be reporting its size correctly. See “xrandr”.
