What’s the problem, exactly? You tried to copy 1 GB of text, and in response, memory usage increased by 2 GB and a program crashed?
The thing is, it’s rare, but I need to copy, for example, 10 GB (for this I need to select text) for example, I randomly select not 10 GB, but 9.9 GB at once, it immediately starts writing this “selection clipboard” to memory, everything freezes for minutes, then after minutes I can it’s fine to select all the text and hang again (and then when I copy with ctrl+c, I’ll apparently have 20 GB of memory). - personally, I don’t need this “selection clipboard”, and compared to Windows in kde plasma wayland, the clipboard is just terrible for copying large data, although in Windows I could somehow copy 10 GB in a second.
Are you literally using the pointer to select 10 GB of data? Or are you selecting it with Ctrl+C?
Do you have “Keep the selection and the clipboard the same” turned on in the Clipboard widget’s settings?
I select the first letter and then click the mouse while holding down Shift on the desired location. I have selection synchronization disabled in the regular clipboard, as well as everything else related to selection (I wish I could disable “Primary Selection” system-wide, but that’s not possible right now).

I do not know how KDE Plasma and Wayland work, and I do not know which of what I described is an error, so I will not be able to create it, except for the suggestion to add disabling “Primary Selection” and that’s it.
