I’m using Plasma with openSUSE Tumbleweed and using Dolphin as the file manager. I have my display setting set as a common display style for all folders, and that display style to case insensitive alphabetical. However, this does not work, as shown in the pictures below. Any reason for this?
(ignore my horrible image, had to combat the limit for new members)
Hi - just to check, what is chosen in the “Sort By” menu? You can quickly check that by right-clicking an empty spot in that folder:
If I understand it correctly, the “Sorting mode” setting that you have on “Alphabetical, case insensitive” refers to how sorting happens when it’s by Name, Title, or some other type of text field. If sorting is happening by Modified, Size, or something else, then I don’t think case sensitivity would be used in the logic.
Hi, I am so sorry for the late reply, I honestly forgot I posted this.
By the look of it, it indeed was set wrong in that menu, but I thought that menu was for individual styling. I’ve set it correctly now and it seems to be working. Thanks!
