KDE Connect hanging mid-transfer

Hi all,

Newbie here, but been using KDE Connect for a while.
It’s a great tool- if you only have a few photos or small files.

However, if I want to transfer a larger amount or larger files (like a video), mostly Android to Debian (Bodhi), it transfers a few files but then hangs.
And it never recovers from that.
Sending files one by one might work sometimes- hit & miss.
It’s not my network as my network is working fine otherwise.

Is this a known issue with a solution? Couldn’t find anything around here.

Hi! I’m not a user of KDE Connect in that particular way right now, but for what it’s worth it does look like there’s some bug report activity around things related to what you’re describing:

• 422232 – Failed to receive large (> GB) file on Desktop from Android
• 450905 – Send file function starts transferring the file but freezes and never completes

If one of those bugs seems to match up to your experience, then you can track activity through there, and add any unique observations that might be made from your own device.
