KDE Connect SMS window opens to a blank screen

Android phone Version: 1.33.4

KDE Connect SMS window opens as it should by right clicking the icon in the system tray and selecting SMS Messages. However, nothing is displayed in the KDE Connect SMS window. Message notifications are appearing as normal by the windows notification system. Characters typed into the search box of the SMS window results in filtering contacts but no message is able to be sent once selected. Device is trusted and connected. SMS permissions are adequately allowed on the phone. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Did you ever get an answer for this? I have a similar problem and came here to see if anyone had solved the SMS display issue.
