[KDE NEON] : Fram16 luks2 keyboard entry stop with UI

Hi all,

I’m using KDE NEON.

Latest version here : https://files.kde.org/neon/images/desktop/user/20260903-0454/neon-user-desktop-20260903-0454.iso

Version of Plasma is 6.7.4.

I use graphical installed method with :

-rootfs : non encrypt

-home : encrypt with luks2

All is good and restart.

After restart, i boot with kde neon and it asked to give the luks2 password.

I begin to enter the password. (and i see as a refresh screen with before and after, the same content)

After this, and it’s impossible to see more letters rather than i enter letters.

I type enter and nothing more appends.

The sprocket continue to turn on the picture.

THE END, must switch Off computer !!!

I’m using AMD RYZEN 7 7840HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics.

My BIOS is the latest 4.05 of this link.

-AGESA : PhoenixPI-FP8-FP7 1.2.0.0f

framework 16 + graphical luks unlock eating keystrokes like that has bitten me on neon. the prompt paints but input dies.

-at the stuck unlock screen hit ctrl+alt+f3. type the passphrase on the text cryptsetup prompt if it shows, or unlock from there
-reboot, at grub hit e, yank quiet splash from the linux line, boot. text unlock usually takes the keyboard fine
-once in, sudo update-initramfs -u and check framework keyboard firmware is current on their site

if text unlock works but the gui one still dies, leave splash off for now.

It’s hard to reproduice Ctrl+Alt+F3.

I installed OS without encrypted, but when i press “sleep”, power button stay in the same state and the screen come black.

But no sleep action by the computer !

Any Idea ? Thanks a lot

black screen w/ the power led stuck and no real sleep has bitten framework 16 amd on neon for me.

-systemctl suspend
-journalctl -b | rg -i ‘sleep|suspend|amd_pmc|s2idle|amdgpu’
-cat /sys/power/mem_sleep

if it only shows s2idle:
-echo deep | sudo tee /sys/power/mem_sleep
-add mem_sleep_default=deep on the grub linux line and update-grub
