Boot from the ISO image get KDE logo then after some delay I get a black screen with a mouse cursor but nothing is displayed on the screen and clicking the mouse does nothing. I have seen the same issue with Manjaro linux KDE using Wayland. EndevourOS KDE does work in Wayland mode. Any suggestions how I can get KDE Neon to boot?
Hi edpaay
Did you
1 check ISO integrity (md5)
2 download a 2nd time and try again
3 try on a different computer or in a VM (VirtualBox)
Is this the first try on this machine?
How are you booting?
Have fun

I downloaded the ISO again and they are byte for byte the same. I booted from a USB flash drive and the fact that Manjaro KDE/Wayland even after an install behaves exactly the same I conclude that there is a basic problem here. EndevourOS however appears to work with KDE/Wayland on my system, not sure what they do different?
Hi - is there some difference in the NVIDIA drivers being used or installed, perhaps?
Possible, I have seen a variety of NVIDIA drivers available in the various distros, anything from 52x, 535 right up to 570 I think. In the case of KDE Neon I am not sure how I would try different versions.
KDE Neon is based on Ubuntu, so its NVIDIA drivers tool should be a good way to handle those: NVIDIA drivers installation - Ubuntu Server documentation
