KDE neon update broke my laptop

I tried the update to the new base di for KDE neon. It went fine first, but at the very end it complained about some incompatibility with the Mozilla repositories and quit.

I then looked whether everything was fine, ran sudo pkcon update, and rebooted, only to find that I can’t boot any more.

I tried reinstalling grub from love CD, but to no avail. It doesn’t even get to the grub menu, it gets stuck at the boot screen.

Any idea what could have happened? And how to solve it without needing to reinstall from live? I don’t have an extra /home partition, so that would be cumbersome…

Did you check in your BIOS if there are maybe multiple entries for KDE Neon?
Because I updated yesterday und for some reason Grub made a new entry which then was not selected as a boot option in the BIOS

I actually can’t check my bios, it doesn’t open. Only very rarely. But I checked with efibootmgr from the live CD. There are two entries for Neon. But even if I press f12 at boot and select neon, it displays the grub menu, and after selecting neon 6.2, it just stops…
