KDE Panel editing bug when right clicking on widget

hi everyone

im in KDE’s panel editing mode and anytime I try to right-click a widget, a context menu briefly appears for half a second then disappears and panel editing mode is exited.

I provided a video to show what this behavior looks like. This is a fresh install of Manjaro KDE on my laptop.

CPU: 13th Gen Intel i7-1355U (12) @ 5.000GHz
GPU: Intel Raptor Lake-P [Iris Xe Graphics]
Kernel: 6.18.18-1-MANJARO

Things I’ve tried:

Plugging in a mouse and right-clicking

Disabling trackpad

Entering tablet mode

Deleting and adding the panel again

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, don’t you get a configuration pop-up when you hover a widget in which you can configure the widget? Like this:

I use Plasma 6.6.3, a bit newer then what you use, but these pop-ups appear for longer already.

i would check your focus settings in window behavior

try setting it to “click to focus” and see if that changes anything

also try playing with the focus stealing prevention and delay parameters

I see my post solved your issue, that’s great.

I always us the setting: focus follows mouse (mouse precedence) so I guess that has no influence here.
I presume the OP did not know widgets have this popup in which you can configure it.
