KDE Plasma 6.5.4 - Menu options don't work properly in certain cases

So, for a while now, in some cases, the text describing what each option does in various menus appears overlapped, as seen on the image below, which is a dropdown menu (specifically for Session). This for some reason only happens with very specific programs or functions, as I can’t replicate the bug with other similar menus like dropdown menus in System Settings, for example. Another program where it usually happens is Kdenlive (couldn’t attach a screenshot because of the 1 image new user limit)

At first I just ignored it thinking it would be quickly fixed but it’s been weeks and it’s quite annoying to use Kdenlive and have to blindly maneuver to find the Render button.

OS: Arch Linux

Yup, looks like a heavily customised desktop being reported as a KDE bug… tightly cropped to further obscure any attempt we might make to identify the context of the screenshot.

The ‘Session’ icon you shot there doesn’t exist in my menu, I simply see an ‘extender’ arrow that pulls up a dropdown (Session only appears as a tooltip).

Verify this with a new USER (default desktop) and then troubleshoot what it is that you have done to create the issue.

You didn’t even mention what menu you’re talking about…

And yes, I looked at this in a default (New USER) session to verify. Problems can be due to your personal choices of fonts, scaling, many factors… and you’re not giving much information here.

Screenshot probably shows a third party plasmoid that’s not working as expected, but your experience with Kdenlive is very odd indeed.
The screenshots below show both Kdenlive and a third party plasmoid similar to yours behaving as expected, under Debian 14 (Testing) KDE Plasma 6.5.4.
The problem you’re experiencing might be due to some odd custom settings / a broken third party plasmoid / bugs in Arch Linux packaging, but certainly not KDE upstream, it seems.

That’s doubtful - I’m confident that creating a new USER will verify that this isn’t a bug.
