Hi all,
I noticed a failed behaviour when using in Dolphin a right click then “open with Amarok” on a music file :
Amarok launches, but the music file doesn’t appear in the play list.
Can you confirm this ?
Thanks for your reply.

I’m not seeing that issue.

Thank you for your concern.
Here is ma configuration :
Dolphin: 25.12.1
Environnement de développement de KDE: 6.22.0
Qt: Par utilisation de 6.10.0 et avec compilation avec 6.10.0
Mageia 10 (Wayland)
Build ABI: x86_64-little_endian-lp64
Kernel: linux 6.18.35-desktop-1.mga10
Version de Amarok : 3.3.2
Version de l’environnement de développement de KDE : 6.22.0
Version de Qt : 6.10.0
GStreamer : GStreamer 1.26.11
So I intent to describe what’s going wrong on my system :
First I do a right click on the mp3 file in Dolphin, then select “open with Amarok” in the popup menu : nothing appears.
Can you not reproduce this on your system OpenSuse ?
I don’t know if it’s a KDE or Linux Mageia 10 problem for now…
Thanks again for your reply.
In TW (I have TW), we can’t see the version of the opening. He/She are using Gear 25.12.1.

Thanks Krovikan for your answer.
So what do you think, is it a Mageia Linux issue on your opinion ?
openSUSE Tumbleweed (short TW) is a rolling release. Means that updates are constants.
Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20260717
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.28.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1
Kernel Version: 7.1.3-1-default (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 14 × Intel® Core™ Ultra 5 245K
Memory: 32 GiB of RAM (30.9 GiB usable)
Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070
As you see, my last update (I update always in Monday) is from a few days ago.
If the partner can’t reproduce the issue (I don`t have installed Amarok but I have the same versions of Gear, Plasma, etc) is because in your versions is there a issue fixed later.
I don’t know Mageia, but (for your versions of software) seems a distro which is updated every few months.
EDIT: The current Gear is 26.04.3.

Thank you Krovikan for your time and explanation.
I will wait for the distro Mageia updates so ![]()
Have a nice day.
