Recently system changed from sddm to plasma login manager, and seems to have quite a few problems.
Second monitor does not seem to be detected. it stays black and can only use the laptop screen.
Also I have a mouse and keyboard plugged into external monitor, mouse works fine but keyboard i have to unplug and plug it back it to work.
I would like the plasma login manager to have the same functionality as sddm if possible to use the second screen and for keyboard to work without having to unplug and plug it back in on every boot.
To add a bit more details to my system and situation.
Recently Nobara swapped from SDDM to Plasma-login manager and since then I have quite a lot of issues with it.
First to describe my system. I am on a laptop with few USB ports so I have one external monitor, one mouse and keyboard connected to the external monitor USB port which was working fine in SDDM.
Since the move, the 2nd monitor which is set as primary on login does not work it is blank, the mouse seems to work, but keyboard I have to unplug and plug it back in to work.
Even if I type on my laptop they key strokes does not seem to be registered properly. sometimes have to press the same key 3 times for it to register.
From tests this seems to be just for letters H and J. Not sure why these.
I am dual booting windows so I have tested this on windows as well and it does not happen there, so it is not a broken keyboard.
After login the external monitor works fine, but keyboard still has to be unplugged and plugged in to work
Mouse however works fine still on both login and after login.
My guess for the monitor is that by default it sets itself to 71.99 Hz, this also gets it to a blank screen as well when changed to this refresh rate after login, it only works when set to 60Hz, not sure why it defaults to 71.99.
How can I set it up or where to have the same functionalities as SDDM?
There are so many issues with plasma-login that I am not sure where to begin to configure this.
