After update to 25.10.0 my views configured in previous version are gone. I would like to ad single view elements to the tabs at other view windows - see screen shot attached.
Any idea/suggestion how this can be done with the new version?!

Hello, I hope that the Google translator doesn’t write anything…I’m writing in French!
You click on the tab you want to move, hold down the mouse button and move everything to where you want the tab to be.
At this location, symbols appear in the form of a square. You must then ensure that the central square is activated and you release the mouse button.
It’s much better than before. Too bad that the setting of the previous configuration (same thing with the assembly wheel) is not preserved or at least exported to a backup file.
It’s a little confusing at first but once you get used to it, it’s very ergonomic.
Have a good day
Do you also find that Clip Monitor keeps reappearing even after I’ve removed it?
I don’t think we can sensibly migrate the old layout definitions to the new way of doing this, the old settings were purely global records of essentially raw window state, while now it’s possible to save layouts into the project file as per-project settings.
Your old layouts should still be somewhere like ```~/.config/kdenlive-layoutsrc but that doesn’t really help you much with recreating them except that you should be able to open older AppImage releases and have those all still work as they used to.
Explicitly disabling that view will be respected again in the next release. That got broken with the switch to the new dock code.
But switching to it when that isn’t the case is Still A Feature ![]()
