I have some annoying problem on Kdenlive 26.04.2 AppImage Debian 13 - it doesn’t remember windows sizes and settings. When I set up my personal settings for windows sizes on Edit tab, chose my prefered tabs and disable that I don’t need in View Menu it remember it as long as I don’t switch to different tab, for example Logging or Audio. When I choose different tab and then go back to Edit tab my settings are gone. Is there any way to fix it?
That’s the way it is. Clicking on any of the layout tabs loads the layout that has been saved under that name. So, if you don’t save your layout, it will be gone when switching layouts.
I tried to save it as Edit layout but it didn’t work. Isn’t it a bug?
That certainly is. Perhaps you can save it under a different name and then load it from the View menu.
When I do as you said it works but I thing it is not a way it should be. Every time I clic Edit it goes back to standard settings.
Somewhat (un)related, but I noticed that when you try to rename the original layouts, the name changes don’t seem to stick.
I think it is somehow related. My problem was (partially) solved, when I saved profiles with custom name and then removed default ones. After this description of tabs changed to my labels and it remember setting. Similar thing happens when you try change names of markers categories. Somehow this settings don’t stick.
I agree you should be able to overwrite the default settings.
