The last maintenance release of the 26.04 series is out, bringing the usual batch of bug fixes and workflow and stability improvements. Highlights include fixes for crashes when undoing sequence creation and recording audio without an audio device, as well as improvements to Rectangular Alpha Mask and Rotoscoping effects. This release also continues the security hardening efforts of this cycle by preventing unwanted command execution on MLT versions below 7.40.

Thank you so much for this release! This fixed my crashes. I can open my projects again!

As ever, thanks for the hard work. Kdenlive has improved sooo much in the last couple of years.

Do you have any idea of the number of users around the world?

When I rendering my video the MLT dialog box open and my software creshed.

Can you give us more details so we can try to understand the situation?

Do we have a working GPU hw acceleration in the timeline yet? For decoding videos and powering effects?

Decoding and encoding of video clips is already GPU supported.

Applying effects/filters, and transitions and compositions during playback and rendering the final video is only done by the CPU.

There is a roadmap item for GPU support but no ETA yet. Sorry.
