Kdenlive crashes when I try a d drag a clip ti the timeline

Hi!

I am experiencing probels with Kdenlive 23.08.5 on a Ubunbu 24.04 desktop. I have installed it with apt install kdenlive. I get no error msg, and I can not start it from the command line (says “$ bash: /snap/bin/kdenlive: No such file or directory”.

Anyone got ideas on what to check or fix?

(In know there is a similar topic from a year ago but I find no responses to that)

Use the AppImage.

Your version of Kdenlive is close to three years old. Any reason why you didn’t update? And when you do, use the AppImage or the Flatpak versions. Installing any distro’s own package may not work or create problems and issues.
