Kdenlive Flatpak has no Clip Monitor output

I have this issue here (26.04.3 Flatpak). I didn’t create the Reddit post, but someone else had the exact issue one year ago. I installed the System Package (Fedora) and out of the box, everything seemed fine. This would imply that it only happens on Flatpak. But the System Package also has another version (older version) than the Flatpak.

I would like to find out what the issue is, in case it happens again in the future. Just using the System Package doesn’t seem like a fix. I would like to find out the cause of the issue.

Project Monitor output works. But Clip Monitor output shows only grey box.

Sometimes it works and sometimes the Clip Monitor is grey. I still didn’t find the cause.

yes, AppImage seems to fix my issue. Does Flatpak need additional dependencies? I am confused. But I would like to find out what the issue is.

I almost fixed it, but I need help with one more thing.

If anybody is having this issue in the future:

1. Double click the grey area
2. Try to zoom

That way I could validate if it was some graphics issue, or if it was only a Kdenlive “View” issue.

Media is selected in the project bin. Still, everything looks grey.

When double clicking on the grey area, it opens in fullscreen and when zooming, you can see the output

But still, I cannot zoom here, making the Monitor not useful because it’s that small.

Is there some setting like “Set display to 100%”?

If you move your cursor to the right side of the clip monitor, you should see a sidebar pop up. Click the magnifying glass icon then click the “Reset Zoom” icon.

As you can see here, no fix. After pressing that button, it’s still grey.
